Ski Resort: An immortal winter giant, the mountain stands tall with a summit elevation of 13,050 feet, blanketed in fresh snow. From the base it invites you, calm and silent. Over sixty trails expertly carved through its depths and five chairlifts raising excited patrons to the sky, you stand in awe, captivated by its brilliance as the sun peaks curiously through the snow-filled clouds. It is the Legendary Arapahoe basin.

Since 1946, Arapahoe Basin has been serving up a fantastic ride for skiers from the Colorado area as well as the world. During the 04-05 season Arapahoe Basin was able to open earlier than ever! Thanks to a newly completed snowmaking system the ski area opened on October 22, 2004, which is 8 days earlier than our previous "earliest opening ever" on October 30, 2003. The average annual snowfall at the Basin is around 367 inches.
