Dining: The best watering hole in town, the Double Dog Pub. It's next door to the Steak Pit, and the same owners, Robert and Cindy Glowacki, opened it in February 2006.
"We have two dogs," Robert said. "They're the logo. It's all about dogs, really. There are pictures of dogs everywhere. The entrance from the patio into the bar, the whole stairwell will be covered with pictures of people's dogs. If you have a photo of your dog, then we'll put it in a frame for you. Aspen is pretty much a dog town."
Dogs, however, are not allowed.
"The health department wouldn't like that," Robert said. "We serve food."
The bar is small, seating around 65, and serves a menu similar to the Steak Pit's, though with some additional bar classics like fish and chips.
"It's just a good atmosphere, all intimate and cozy with a really big fireplace," Robert said.
